JFI-Ginger Roundup
And what a roundup!!!
I was amazed and impressed by the diversity of recipes that this noble spice conjured up and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed. Well done!!
I would also like to thank Indira for coming up with the idea for this event and for giving me the opportunity to host it.
I am sorry that I haven't had the time to create the kind of display these wonderful dishes deserve. I'm even more sorry that I don't have a kitchen yet so I can't actually make any of them - what a wind up! It's like standing in front of a bakery window full of treats and finding that the shop's closed!!
The JFI event for March is being hosted by Happy Burp and the ingredient is Potato. Can't wait!

Amazing! What a delicious spread, Rosie, and you have created such a beautiful round-up, even in the middle of your busy move. Here's wishing you a fantastic new kitchen where you can cook up a storm!
I love the layout of this roundup. And I had so hoped to be in it but alas, I didn't get my post together in time! I was planning to do an anniversary reprise of the wonderful ginger/chili paste we serve with hard-boiled eggs.
Many thanks to all you others for posting on time. I'm very much looking forward to trying some of those dishes - especially My Workshop's Tamarind-Ginger Hot Sauce to see how much it differs from our chili paste.

Thanks for your kind comments, I have had a great time putting the round-up together, although there were a few frustrating problems with the display in IE (I run Firefox) which are hopefully fixed now.
If you still want to contribute ejm, no problem, just send me the link (ginger@whatstherecipetodayjim.com).
Thanks for the round-up. As a big fan of ginger, I'm bookmarking this post so I can try them one at a time.

Thank you so much for adding my post even though it was so horribly late!
And I know what you mean about having IE nightmares. I keep imagining that one day, they will finally get with the program so that people don't have to jump through hoops to get pages to display roughly the same in IE, firefox and opera.
-Elizabeth (also a firefox user)
